September 6

Hello! First, quickly about yesterday: I couldn’t fall asleep – otherwise not more. lol.

Today, I had to get up early. I set my alarm for 7:30, but I did sleep quite bad, so I woke up already at about 7am. But why did I have to get up this early? We had a practice tournament today (from volleyball). I had to leave the house at about 8:15, cycled to the train station, and then I got picked up there by Louis. Funnily enough, I saw one of my high-school friends there. So we talked a little.

Then, Louis and I drove to the gym, watched a game of Daniels youngsters, changed and then had a few games as well.
First game: We didn’t have a setter -> I played as a setter (it turned out as expected) -> lost 2:0

After that, we had a break for one hour.

After this break, we had our second game (starting at 12). We had a setter, so I didn’t need to play. Funnily enough, I subbed in myself, because I forgot, that I have a further middle-blocker -> so I played a set as a middle-blocker. But we lost this game 2:0 as well.

Third game: This was the only game I really wanted to win, because it’s against an opponent, who we’ll actually play against during the season.
We lost the first set not that close. (We were even, but then at about 14:14 they had a really good serve rotation -> we lost 25:14 ish). After that, our setter just walked out ??? (I don’t know yet, what I’m gonna do about that. Because, hello??) So then I had to sub in as a setter again.
Not to brag or anything, but we managed to win the second set, as well as the third. -> We won this game -> I’m the better setter now, I guess!

After that, we had already finished all of our games. I then assisted Daniel with his last match of his youngsters (they lost, but their opponents were technically playing a league above their own). We then showered, and went home.

So now: For this whole day, I only had a chocolate-milk for breakfast, and nothing else. Ergo, I was hungry & had low blood sugar.
Also, I saw my ex once again (since apparently she still plays volleyball – but now as a libero). I didn’t really expect it, but it still felt like kinda cold, sad, like my heart drops, when I see her. I don’t really get it… Also, she was watching two of our games, so I was kinda distracted by that.
After the shower, Daniel and I were walking to the train station, and we then saw her quickly on her bike. And she was wearing glasses. That’s new as well (I think).
All in all, we didn’t talk today, but I’d kinda like to. Not really knowing where it’d go, but still.

As you might now, if I have a kinda low blood sugar level, my mood drops massively. So after like the second game (at least, after I saw my ex), I was kinda sad. Like the whole day basically. What a bummer! Of course, this lasted until I got home and then ate a little. But yeah. Today was another day I spent thinking about my ex quite a bit.

Some time later (just about when I arrived at my usual train station to get home), I saw actually loads of people which I actually know. So first: When unlocking my bicycle, I saw my sister Sara and her husband driving on the other side of the Train station. (I stared at them, but they didn’t see me…)
Then, I drove off kinda slowly, because hungry, low energy and shit. In about the middle of the way home, I have to drive on a narrow street, which leads (kinda) to where Ellie lives. And she was coming from ahead of me (but in a car) so we waved at each other.
Then like 2 minutes later, I was on the main road, and then Yanis and his girlfriend Leah were on the opposite side of the road on their scooter. We then (obviously) saw each other, and then did like 2 rings around the rosie, on the street, until we came to a stop next to each other on the sideway. (funny times) We then talked a bit. They had to go to some event of Leah’s god-mother – but they weren’t really motivated. haha. Anyway, we parted way’s soon thereafter.

At home, I firstly ate a little bit, to get my mind under control, so I don’t spiral too bad about my ex. Then, I had planned to study some. I opened some of the old exams, took a quick gander, knew of most of the things how to solve them -> didn’t feel like studying. Also, I was really tired, so I had one more reason to not study.
Funnily enough, Daniel wrote me:” Since we didn’t goon together today, I did some myself, and look who I’ve just found on hinge”, and then sent me the screen-recorded profile of someone we both knew from volleyball. We both (well, all dudes basically) don’t really like her, so it was twice as funn1y. We (I) did thus also find out, that she’s pan-sexual (which is basically the same as bi-sexual. Crazy hot hehe.
Then, I called Daniel with a video whatsapp call (because, apparently you can share screens) so we then hinged together with his phone – for like one hour. This was actually really funny. We gave a few likes, as well as one super like. I’m eager to see, how this will turn out. (Also, one of the standouts had some classes with me in high school. So we saw some more people we knew. Funny times.) We did that for like one hour – until I had to go eat dinner.

During all of this, my brother was watching a movie in his room (right across from mine). And apparently it was really funny. I don’t think I’ve ever heard him laugh as much as then. My mom and I both separately went to his room to ask him what he was doing, which was so funny. (He was watching “Naked Gun” – which is a spy-movie parody.) But it’s always a joy to hear him laugh that hard. (Even Daniel heard it over the phone, which was funny.)

After dinner, I studied for a little (like 30 minutes), then watched some YouTube and now I’m writing (to) you. Now, I’m about to brush my teeth, and then go to bed. It’s a quarter to 11pm right now, but I’m really tired and shit.

So all in all: It was (considering my mood) quite a bad day. Probably because I ate too little, especially when I need a (kinda) “stable” mind if I see my ex. But then I met so many people which distracted me (and even Daniel writing me with his hinge “find”), so it was kinda like the universe was helping me. Phrasing it like that, makes things a little better.

Recently, I’ve begun to listen (again) to Mongolian throat singing. One song I really like is “Amyrai” by Altai Kai. I’m currently creating a spotify playlist with these kind of songs in it.
Also, I quite enjoy like 80’s women’s music. Like “Make Your Own Kind Of Music”. I’m also creating a playlist with songs similar to that.

  1. Just to make it obvious to me in the future as to who it is: Medicine student, used to dance ballet with my sister, tall and really pretty ↩︎
