October 8

Hello! I don’t really know, what I did today during the day. Nothing really.

Really early in the morning (like 5:30) I started to wake up, from time to time, since I had an amazing idea for my bachelors-thesis (see paragraph below), and today we had a volleyball-game against my old team. So double interesting. Also, it was our first game of the season. Always exciting.

In the morning, I was trying to understand how BERT works, (well, I did most of that already yesterday evening) and then I thought of a “new way” (to me it’s new) to use BERT for error detection. I’m not gonna explain it here though.

Then, I was kinda hungry, took a little break, one thing lead to another, and I cooked dinner. I made spaghetti bolognese. It was good.

Oh, also, today was my fathers birthday. And it just so happens, that yesterday he was informed at his work, that 80% of the employees are gonna get laid off. Which most likely is him. What a birthday present!
But he isn’t too concerned about it. He takes it like a champ.

In the afternoon, I was too excited to do anything at all. So immediately after lunch, I drove my brother to his work -> small groceries for dinner -> back home -> didn’t really do anything -> went to pick up my brother from work again -> dinner.
As today was my fathers birthday, he cooked dinner. It’s our family tradtion. It’s some sweet dish, with apples in dough cooked in the oven, and then eaten with vanilla cream. And it was nice!

After that, I was already picked up for the match today. But imma keep this short:
– it was fun
– we won the first set easily (I played)
– 2nd set: (I didn’t play) we lost quite bad (25:19)
– 3rd set: (I played again) we lost somewhat close (25:23) (we were down like 5 points pretty much from the start, but then we got back into it -> 23:23; but then sadly we lost 23:25)
– 4th set: (I didn’t start) we lost surprisingly close (We fucked up bad in the beginning -> 0:10 -> but we managed to get back (I played like a mad man – they said, I was aura-farming) but in the end we lost 25:19).
-> it was always fun though, and really fair. We both admitted our mistakes.

-> go home. In the car, I showed Daniel the chat I had with Diana, and he said it was based (I think was the word) that I admitted that I had the crush on Caroline.

At home, I did put the jerseys into the washer -> ate while it was washing -> hanging the jerseys and now I’m writing (to) you.

Not even gonna lie: I was still bummed out, that Caroline has a boyfriend. Kinda funny, but also annoying (that I’m still bummed out, and that she has a boyfriend).
