What’s up! What did I do today? First, lets start, with yesterday evening, after I went to bed. I remembered, that americans (USA) often say, that they go to improv class. Now, I don’t know, if this is a thing here, so I went on google, and searched for a quick book. I started to read it yesterday evening – well, only the (to me) interesting parts. But I went to sleep not too far in.
So, today after I woke up, I spent some time in my bed just chilling, and then I read the exercises from the book. These are all exercises, which you can do alone. Some of them are:
– Word association (name an object, immediately start to talk about it – go next after ~10s, >10 objects)
– Solo character switches (take a clock, switch to a new character every 30s)
– Scene with status switch (both/all characters have a different social-status)
– Film dialogue (watch a movie without sound, talk for the movie-persons)
– Songs (not write, just sing and wing it)
– Do a speech, only using the numbers up to 100
So after that, it was already time for lunch. I told them about this, so I asked if anyone wanted to do one, and then my mom held a speech, only containing numbers. It’s somewhat funny.
In the afternoon, I went to play some beach volleyball with Daniel, Leon, and Luca. We played in the sun, for about 2-3 hours, then I went home again, since my brother cooked dinner (burgers) and I didn’t want to miss it. I got a light sunburn, so maybe I’ll have a tan soon.
Then, in the evening, I listened to some podcast, and solved some Sudokus. I listened podcast, where the psychiatrist interviewed was asked, what some character-traits in you (and your partner) are, that make you stay together. She mentioned three:
– Conscientiousness (thoughful, kind, industrious, responsible)
– Flexible/adaptable
– Low to moderate adventurousness (since you don’t cheat / seek new partner)
Also, she said, that if you want to go into couple therapy, go to a therapist trained in the “gottman method”, since this is the only that really works.
After that, I took a shower, and now I’m writing (to) you.
Also, I had an idea before, for an algorithm to find the best-approximation (polynomial of degree n, with a_n =/=0 ) of a function. My idea is, that you guess a initial polynomial g_0 to approximate f. This initial polynomial is in the form of the product of it’s zeroes. Then you iterate over each of those, and improve them one by one, until you have an error less than some threshold.
Maybe, I’ll try it a bit tomorrow. But that’s it for today. I’ll see you again tomorrow. Take care! Bye-Bye!
