Hello! First of all: Happy 9/11! (classic – haha). What did I do today?
In the morning: Exam. But even before that: I took the train to my university, and there’s no toilet on this train. But at some time, my stomach decided:” Now it’s time to take a mad dump!” I was in shambles. There wasn’t even any stop on the way, so I could leave the train and then use the station there. So I held it in.
Like 2 minutes before the train arrived, my stomach was like:” No, we don’t need to shit anymore”, So I thought:” Alright, I walk to the university building first, and then head to the toilet. All fine with that.
But as it then happened, like half way to the toilets there, my stomach said: “No more time playing around, it’s now or never”. So I ran. I was running like a mad man. Luckily, while running, it was only like 2-3 minutes left.
I immediately went to the toilet. There’s only one stall. Occupied! I head to another story. What do I see? Cleaning personal on the men’s toilet – it’s closed!
So I did the only sensible thing, and went in the women’s room. (Yes, no-one was in there.) So today was the first time, I took a shit in the women’s room at university.
Once done with that, I was already sweating. And now it’s time for the exam. 1.5 hours, but all in all, it was not too bad. I was able to solve like 80%. So I guess that’s a pass.
Once I was done with the exam, I went to the library, where Lorenzo was, to talk a little to him (and one of my fellow friends who also had the probability theory exam). Actually, he now takes a one year break from studying, since he has to do civil service.
Anyway, after that, I went home.
I don’t even really know what I was doing. I was kinda bored. I did download and organize all last semester’s files (lecture notes and shit). So now my SSD is no mess no more.
In the afternoon, I was bored too, so I actually used hinge. I was like one hour long just swiping along. (I did this, because I read in a blog post, that received likes correlate pretty hard with sent likes, so I did that.)
Actually, just before, I got a match, but it’s with the one I was unsure whether I want to send a like. So that’s like the worst way of the good.
I quit after one hour though. I did find out a little trick. This was: If I set the race filter to anything but white, the recommendations got way better.
After my short hinge doings, I was kinda bored again. Since it was pretty windy outside, I decided to fly my kite. I then also tried to stand on a skate-board and let the wind tow me. This did not really work, since I’m too heavy. Sara however was able to kite-skate a little.
As I was doing this, I saw some neighbors kids, and asked them if they wanted to try it out as well. And they did. And wouldn’t you know it: It worked quite well with them.
Some time later, I quit, got inside and tried to solve some sudokus.
Then, at about a quarter to six, my brother and I took a 80 minute drive in order to go take a look at a car. We didn’t even have a real address, we just went on our way with some good luck. And luck was on our side.
We found the house we were searching, just from the backgrounds of one of the pictures on the ebay-esque site. We then rang the bell and hoped someone would open the door. We didn’t even know whether the seller was at home, and also didn’t really had a scheduled meeting with her.
But it all turned out good. One might even say, it was too good. Everything was better (or way better) than we expected. The lady who sells the car, is a car hobbyist, is like 70ish years old, and sells it, because she has too little space and time for this Porsche 944. (This Porsche was listed as a old found car, but she moved it around regularly for it not getting any standing damages. Too nice this!)
So we spent like 45 minutes just talking to her, looking at the car and shit. It all was really good.
She was even so nice, to offer us, to drive us back to our car, but we kindly declined that offer, as it would just have been too much.
We then drove back for about one 1.5 hours, and took a quick stop in a MacDonald’s for dinner.
After all that, we were back at home at about half past ten.
At home, we quickly told Sara and our dad (who happened to sit at the dinner table) about our experience. Then I went too my room and watched some YouTube.
So now, tomorrow is the day of the auction. It ends at 11:56am. My brother and I decided, that we were willing to spend up to 4.5k on this car. The lady selling it suggested that probably no-one is gonna buy the car tomorrow, so we can then buy it for cheaper in person, since we exchanged phone numbers, and she then won’t have to pay the site.
That’s it for today. I’ll see you maybe tomorrow, but probably not. I have my volleyball practice week-end. So tomorrow after lunch I have my appointment with the shoulder specialist, and then my volleyball week-end will start; either as coach, or player-coach. We’ll see this then.
So I’ll see you at latest on Sunday. Take care & Bye-Bye!
