Hello! This entry is kinda forged, since we had the volleyball practice weekend, and I didn’t write my diary. All of this started on Friday 12th.
(Written on 16th September.)
Friday, 12th
As I had my last exam the day before, I went to bed kinda late, and hoped to sleep for quite some time. As it happened though, this wasn’t the case. I woke up really early (like some time between 6 & 7), and was too nervous to fall back asleep again. Why was I so nervous? It was the auction day for the car my brother and I wanted to buy. As this auction ended only at 12, it was kinda annoying. Also I was tired. So not the best feeling.
Time went on and on, and I stared on the clock excessively. It didn’t move as fast as I had hoped it would. Then, sooner or later (later) it was 10 to 12. So I reloaded the page, and saw, that someone was biding. I then waited some more time, because the later I start bidding, the lower I can keep the price (or so I thought).
Since the auction-ending-timer goes up to 3 minutes, if someone bids in the last 3 minutes, I bid about 3 minutes before ending.
Turns out, I (we) wasn’t the only one who wanted this car. Then, like 2 minutes before the initial ending, the owner of the car called me, and said that if I wanted the car, I should just bid. In the end she would then just give it to us.
This all kinda confused me, but since my brother and I decided, that we’d go up to about 4.5k, I just kept on bidding. Sooner or later, the starting price rose to now 4k. Then the lady who owns the car called me again. Then and there she told me, that she’s decided that she’d just give us the car for the initial 3k, and I can bid however much I wanted. “Just bet like 12k, the others are gonna stop eventually.”, were her exact words.
This sounded kinda fishy. I for real thought I was getting scammed haha. But then, 1 minute later, I got a text of her with the exact same statement and noting, that now I got it in writing. So no fishy stuff going on. Then I bid 14k. (This site keeps it as low as possible, so you are higher than each other bidder.) So the price went up again and again and eventually stopped at 4’500.- and we won!
This was a real exciting thing so far. I’ll tell you: the adrenaline was rushing through my body, even though it was obvious, that we’d win. Still. The rush I got; AMAZING. And the best part: we now have a price reduction of 1.5k. It’s only getting better and better!
Then, about 5 minutes later, we had lunch, and I could tell my family the good news. My brother and I were really excited, and my mom kinda started to turn as well hahaha.
Anyway; I was too much in a adrenaline rush that I wasn’t even hungry. Just aamazing.
After lunch, I finished packing all my stuff for the training weekend.
Then, 15 past 1pm, I had to go catch a train and head to the shoulder specialist. I had to wait some time, and then we (he) came to the conclusion, that I probably have a inflammation in my right longer bicep tendon. And we decided on a treatment with Cholesterin injection. But this date still had to be determined.
Pretty much right after my doctor’s appointment, I was picked up by Louis and Daniel, and we drove off to Fiesch, where we had our training-weekend.
As it was Friday afternoon (like 3pm), we didn’t use the highway (because of traffic jam) but instead drove over the Grimsel-Pass. And I gotta say, it was really pretty.
On this drive, I also told them about the news, that my brother and I just bought a car, and they were impressed, and thought it was a cool one. Only challenge now, is to get it driving; and then pass the state-car examination.
Also, I took one picture of Daniel, and I gotta say, it’s a banger picture. He’s in the mirror of the car (didn’t realize that I was taking this picture) and had his arm kinda out of the window. Another sexy pic of Daniel haha.
We arrived there quickly got our stuff sorted into our rooms, and then headed straight to dinner. (We had rice stroganoff – it was really nice.)
After dinner, we had our first practice session. We did some basic’s for all the important things in volleyball. (Like serving, receiving, out of system setting and shit.) The practice was really good, but we cut it short at about 21:30 (after 1.5 hours of training), because we had a long weekend before us.
After that, we went back to the house, and of course, drank a lot. We were lpaying some games in the group room, and even some females joined in. One of those is Caroline (who’s gonna be introduced tomorrow, as I’m not really writing this in a chronological order). We even played the pirate-game. YO-HO-HO is all I can say to that. Funnily enough, I was first right up to the 2nd to last round. Then all hell went loose, and I went from first to last. haha
It escalated a bit. In the end, Daniel and I were the last ones to sleep, at 3:30. (We were “gooning” on hinge; completely drunk hahahah)
Saturday, 13th
We had to get up kinda early because we had our first practice session at 8am. It wasn’t that bad. I mean, my head hurt, but it was fine.
And yes, we did skip breakfast haha.
Since the practice ended already after 2 hours, we showered, and then had some team building activities, with the other two women’s teams as well.
We “played” this classic game, of one board in the middle with lots of strings attached, and then we had to do some precision work (as a group). And every time we failed, we had to explain why we failed. Childish type shit.
All in all it was kinda fun though.
There after, it was time for lunch. We had the best nutrition for people doing lots of physical activities. Hot dogs with fries. Wow. What a nice meal.
The worst part, it wasn’t even that good. lol.
After lunch, we had a break for 2 hours before practice. As I was really tired, and the sun was shining, I just took a bottle of water, my AirPods and laid out in the sun for about one hour. I was kinda trying to sleep, but I didn’t fall asleep. It was still refreshing though.
The first women’s team had to leave the place where we were, since they had a practice game nearby, and they walked by me, since I was lying near the main path. I then heard them ask themselves:” Is he okay? Should we go look?” So I quickly lifted my head, and singed them, that I was fine.
Then about 1 hour later, Daniel called me, and we quickly went to the store and bought some things. (Small foods, and sweets for practice.)
Then it was practice time again. We had the gym for 4 hours. We just trained some classic volleyball things, and then in the end, we played a little bit with some of the willing women from the 2nd women’s team.
After that, shower -> dinner (we had pasta. As if they couldn’t have swapped it with the hot-dogs for dinner…) -> evening activity for everyone.
This year, it was some mini-golf, which was just next to our house. At first, we started in a team of 4 (Daniel, I our elder setter, and our new outside hitter). Then, like on the second track, 2 women joined us. One who shall now be named: Caroline. And the other was the sister of the fella I met just one week ago at the train-station (before the practice tournament).
As we only had one golf club, and one ball, it took quite some time to get through the tracks lol.
We played for some time, but then not too long later, we had to call it quits, because it got dark, rained a little, and because of the low temperatures it got really slippery.
After that, it was time for a short quiz. (This too was organized by Caroline and the other woman who joined our group.) We randomized teams, and had to give some names and things for our team. A team name, a team sport (other than volleyball) and a mascot for our team. Most of those aren’t that important, but since Caroline was one of the organizers, we (I) picked her as our team mascot.
Then when we (I) introduced our team, everyone laughed at the silly mascot joke. Nice! One funny joke more done.
Now to the quiz: How good were we? We got last lol. Funnily enough, we had the same amount of points as the team Daniel was on.
After the quiz was over, most of us spent some more time in the group room. I was playing the ADHD game “jew” with Daniel and Luca, and then Caroline did one giga-chad thing. She just sat to us, asked us what we were playing, and then (I guess) initially had planned to play with us. But since this is not that beginner-friendly, she called it even before she got to play :(
We played some more different games, some pingpong, and then, rather quickly, everyone went to bed. Not that epic.
Caroline’s group was playing the pirate-game, but they were already six people, so I couldn’t join them :(
Not too late we went to bed as well. (I didn’t really drink that day. My stomach wasn’t feeling it. I had one beer, but then had to take a shit pretty much immediately lol.)
All in all, we went to bed at about 1am.
Then, Leah (Yanis GF) texted me something. Mainly that after she got her diploma, my ex wrote her and congratulated her. They kinda continued texting, and now they did meet up for coffee. Leah claimed, that they did understand each other really good, so they’ll meet up soon again (probably). And she was wondering, if this is fine for me.
Of course, I replied with “yes” but in all honesty, it is kinda weird. Not even gonna lie.
I then asked her, whether they talked about me, and she said only a little. (Because of group dynamic.) And that they talked a little about our break up. And my ex thought, that it was good, that I broke up with her in person, and at first it did hurt, but now it’s okay.
So this then kept me up for some more time. Cool :(
Sunday, 14th
Again, we had to get up early, since there was a morning yoga session announced, open for everyone to join (at 8:30), but we had to clean our rooms first. And I (obviously) wanted to go to the yoga session, since it was with everyone, and kinda funny lol.
Funnily enough, I even found myself right next to Caroline. (More or less a coincidence. I joined kinda late, and as she was right at the border between my players and the women, I just snuck into there (as it was also the nearest place, where any of my team were).)
The yoga was okay the most part. Once we had to kneel, which I was unable to. Also, some time near the end, we had some balance things. We had to do the airplane. And funnily enough, I was so bad at it, that I actually fell hahaha. Wasn’t the first one though!
Once done with the yoga, we had a one hour break, in which Daniel and I went to “return” the house. And it was good (with one minor mistake, but not bad). During this time, we just had to wait for a long time, and we tactically used this time to hinge with Daniels phone.
(Funnily, we sent out one like, to some woman, with a bad joke. I remembered this one on the 15th (when I used hinge for about one hour) and she did show up in my feed. I then just liked the same thing, and wrote:” If someone wrote you something like [joke I wrote with Daniel], I think you should match him.” And of course, I screen-recored it and sent it to Daniel. lol. Jokes.)
Then, from 10-12 we had our last practice session. As more and more people joined us over the weekend, we were actually enough to play some 6vs6. And it was actually really good. Especially considering that it was the last morning of the practice weekend, and that we hardly ever practiced 6 vs 6 up until now.
After that, we showered, and went to have lunch. Kinda by coincidence, I sat next to Caroline once more. (She was at the end of the table, I saw her, but didn’t bother to check, whether it was “better” to go on the other side of the table, so I would for sure sit next to her.)
As it happened, we talked a bit, but as usual, last day of such a week-end not that much to talk about. Kinda a bummer. But I gotta give props to her, since she in fact did keep the conversation going.
After lunch, it was already time to go home. As Daniel, Louis and I went back by car, we parted ways with them there :(
We drove back over the Grimsel-Pass. It was beautiful once more. Louis was really tired though. Especially in the last half-hour.
(As I was sitting in the back of the car, with Daniel and Louis in front, and I got the news from Leah yesterday, and was really tired, I spiraled for some time, whether it was the right call to break up back then and the classic things. But yeah, I do believe it was better! Sadly, when I’m tired it’s not always like that lul.)
Also, I did ask the 2 fellas, if they knew whether Caroline was single (they didn’t), and then we (I) did some stalking activities to find out her age. Turns out, her birthday is one day later than mine, but she’s 2 years older. Luckily, that’s just in range. So I’m thinking of asking her out. (BTW, she’s the maybe-crush I wrote about on September 16th.)
Anyway, we got home safely.
At home, I unpacked my things, was really tired -> dinner -> some time on PC -> going to sleep.
So this was my whole weekend (pretty much).
Bye-Bye!
